LEARN CAPTURE ONE PRO WITH THIS NEW TUTORIAL SERIES
My new Capture One Pro tutorial series aims to teach you how to use this industry standard piece of software. As a professional photographer, if I walk into a studio and they don’t have Capture One, I feel as though something’s wrong. Thankfully, I can honestly say that’s never happened. Capture One really has become that ubiquitous, and for good reason. It is a fantastic piece of software for any studio photographer.

I know people have huge loyalties toward other software, Lightroom for example, and don’t get me wrong I do use and like Lightroom, but for a studio photographer, there is no comparison. Having recently been accepted onto the Capture One affiliate scheme, I also know people never believe anyone who is an affiliate of something (more on that at the end) but trust me when I say, Capture one is wonderful. In fact, lets address the affiliate thing now. I recorded this series and then got in touch with Capture One, applied for their affiliate scheme and was accepted.
I could be wrong, but as far as I’m aware they don’t accept just anyone. So, firstly I was very proud to have been accepted. Secondly, I was over the moon to be an affiliate for a product I believe so strongly in. It’s like someone saying “max, we’d like you to be an affiliate for chocolate, beer, or Indian food”. A no brainer. As to my actual reasons for liking Capture One so much, I think that will all become apparent in this and subsequent videos.
Why Teach Capture One Pro?
I’m sure some of you have your doubts as to how good Capture One actually is, but if we assume it is as good as I say, why did I decide to teach it? There are in fact a great deal of tutorials online already which show people how to use the program.

I suppose it comes down to two things. Number 1, I think that some of the education currently available is a little long. My style is to get straight to the point, quickly present the important info, and move on. I can’t stand YouTube videos which drag on and on. Drives me mad. Number 2, sort of blends in with what I just said but it’s that while you can find the information elsewhere already, I’m presenting it in my style and I hope it’s one people find easy to digest and learn from. I also have a new structure to my channel aimed at providing people with the appropriate content based on their level of expertise, all aimed at speeding up the learning process. Check out this video for more info on that.
Capture One Pro Tutorial | Tour & Navigation
In this first video, I take you on a quick tour of Capture One and show you some of the basics of navigation. I think most people who move to Capture One have probably used RAW editors in the past. As such, I don’t go into too much depth here but rather give the information you need quickly.
Final Thoughts & Discount Code!
I hope you’ll find all the videos I plan to create on Capture One useful. At the very least, I hope it turns you on to a piece of software that I would find hard to live without.
